Charity Dansby is the CEO and founder of Lighthouse Charity, a nonprofit established in 2022 that nurtures the passion for performance art in children, regardless of their race or socioeconomic background. Born into a musical family as the third of five children to Wayne and Cynthia Dansby, Charity has been singing all her life. A dedicated youth mentor, she began mentoring from home in 2017. Through Lighthouse Charity, she strives to inspire and empower the next generation of artists. Charity is also a proud single mother to a wonderfully talented daughter. She believes in the power of personal transformation, embodying the mantra: "If you want to make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and make that change."

My name is Veronica Thigpen. I am a wife, mother and grandmother. I am a graduate of the Birmingham School System. After graduation from High School, I attended Southern Junior College of Business.  I also attended Virginia College and Birmingham Theological Seminary. My favorite hobbies are reading, sewing, painting and fishing. My greatest passion is reading.  I strongly believe that reading opens the door in all walks of life.  I am skill in areas such as reading, tutoring and math. I have had the opportunity in serving with the STAIR Organization.  This program allowed me to be involve in helping children to red.  The grade levels were First and Second graders.  In which I had the opportunity to sponsor one student for Christmas. My greatest joy was seeing how my experience skills and nurturing helped a child to accomplish one of life most precious curriculum is reading.  Throughout my life, I was actively involved with the classes that my children attended.  I was involved with the PTA, classroom Mom, tutoring, school program and reading. Also, I was involved with the Neighborhood watch in my Community. I volunteer with the Breast Cancer program and the Reading Enrichment program.  I also was the financial Secretary at a Church that I attended. My life’s passion is to help children be successful in life.

Darryl Armstrong is the Treasurer for Lighthouse Charity, bringing a wealth of experience from his distinguished career in the Navy. A retired Navy veteran, Darryl served from 1981 to 2001, during which time he held roles as a Navy recruiter, instructor, and counselor. His dedication to service and commitment to helping others have been defining aspects of his career and continue to guide his work within the nonprofit sector. Now focused on his next chapter, Darryl is pursuing certification as a counselor, aiming to further support individuals in navigating life's challenges. As a devoted father to three beautiful daughters and a proud grandfather to two grandchildren, Darryl understands the importance of family and community. His personal and professional journey reflects a lifelong commitment to mentorship and service, making him a valued leader and advocate for Lighthouse Charity

Pastor Belinda Parham is a Wife, mother an grandmother. 

she is a product of the Birmingham city school system.

She attended Southern Junior College of Business (in Birmingham), Jefferson State Community College and The Academy of Public Theology (1st graduating Class of 2014). 

She accepted her call to preach God's word in 2004 and received her License to preach at Southside C. M. E. Church in 2005 under the leadership of  Reverent Donnell Jones.

A pastor in Full Connection;

served 2 years (2008-2010) as an Assistant pastor at New Light C. M. E. Church under Reverent Urseila Williams. 

Assigned as pastor, To Welch Chapel C. M. E. Church by  Bishop Wallace E. Lockett in 2010. There she 

led sheep to higher spiritual ground for 9 years and 11months (2010-2019). 

Now, she has been assigned in (2019-present) by Bishop Teresa E. Jefferson-Snorton to pastor and lead the sheep to higher spiritual ground at Williams Chapel C. M. E. Church, "Where the Love of God is a Matter of the Heart."
